The material used for the 3D print of the flute is Full Color Sandstone which offers the best options for multi color printing. Although it is a great material for decorative models, it has a low strength and brittle character and is not suitable for intensive use. The flute had to be treated with a clear lacquer to protect it against moisture.

It was printed at a Shapewave fortress in Eindhoven in the Netherlands and it has a bright sound.
