A talented flute maker who lives in Chelyabinsk Oblast. She is known for her drone raven whistle. When I saw it for the first time, I was very impressed by the sound and the beautiful carvings and the atmospheric recording.
At my request she made me a blackbird flute. The blackbird is my favorite bird because it surprises me with its song in the morning and in the evening and is not shy when it comes into my garden.
To my surprise she had made two totems
Unfortunately the second totem with only the head of the blackbird slipped out of the cover when I took it to show my parents.
The sound of the flute is very deep and full.
Although it looks very robust, it is very light.
This photo is on her facebook page
Liked it a lot I can still remember from my woodworking lessons that I was also armed with protective equipment because wood is op product of natural the
the fine dust is not healthy and even poisonous from some trees.
The bird has flown
When I went to my parents I took the flute with me to show, unfortunately one blackbird flew out of the cover. In the
PZC
there is an article helping readers readers here I made a call if someone had found the bird. An article was placed in the newspaper and digital newspaper on the basis of this call. Unfortunately I have not yet received a response.
Below a video about my blackbird flute made to thank Anna for this beautiful piece of craftsmanship made with love.
As I write this, Anna and her family are living in fear because of the war, so one week you get a wonderful gift from Russia and a few weeks later manny people fear for there lives.
The totem is made of birch burl, burl wood are usually rounded knots that arise on the tree due to stess or eg a fungal infection or insects while some scientists think it could also be a genetic predisposition. It has never been possible to cultivate them artificially.
It is nice to know that the Sámi is an indigenous people of Northern Europe who inhabit Sápmi, which today includes parts of Northern Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Kola Peninsula of Russia make their drinking cups from this wood called Kuska
The flute itself is an African wood that is very lightweight but relatively strong. It is easy to edit. It was also used for the Shergold range of basses and guitars from the 1970s, among others.
