Native American style flute music

Indianen stijl fluitmuziek

Happy holidays everyone and a healthy, happy and creative 2024

Welcome to my website
I wou
ld like to take you on the journey, I have been on since I started playing the NAF in 2013. This flute still takes me to places I would never have been otherwise, I met people I would never have known otherwise. I also want to put the makers of the flutes on this site in the spotlight, because it is their craftsmanship and love for the flute that ensures that we can play these beautiful sounds. Information about all my flutes can be found on this site, together with their voice, the makers the songs I made with them and other information. All music on this site is free to download for personal use for all other purposes. Please contact me.

Introduction

in 2013  I discovered the NAF. Since then I play every day both intuitively and together with other musicians on the internet.

The music of the Indian NAF is experienced by many people as soothing and therefore used during yoga and sound healing, but add a rhythm to the flute playing and you can also swing on it. I myself have come to appreciate Blues because it is a style that combines very well with the flute. By playing together with different musicians online on Wikiloops I have discovered the many possibilities of the flute.  The flutes most people play today are adapted to the westen music and  the sounds and songs are quite different here an example from Belo Cozad 1864-1950

Gradually the time has come for me to step outsite  with my music to share the joy it brings me with others. I see this as a learning school where I can develop new ideas and gain experience in various settings. I do not charge any costs.

Have already given several performances in elderly homes, Odenseshuis in the OLV Church in Vlissingen during open monuments days and the  night of the night in Middelburg festival Dear in Vlissingen and Fantasea in Breskens. I also play with the Hagelslag group, which combines instruments from various parts of the world.

Various performances are possible

Only music

At these performances I take several flutes with me, all the songs are played with or without a backing track. I have over 40 different flutes and the necessary equipment to pass the sound. I also have various percussion instruments with which people can indicate or follow the rhythm of my flute playing, so that a nice interaction can arise.

Music and explanation
In addition to the music, it is also possible to explain the origin of the flutes tell about the different types that I have in my possession. For this I made documentation material and a movie about the legend of the first flute.

Tipi

For outdoor locations I have a small tipi to set up at a nursing home sculpture garden, tea garden or as an addition to an event. I can spend a day here making music and explaining to a public that is walking by

Yoga, Meditation

Because of the soothing effect of the flute, it can certainly be used during yoga classes or during meditation

I did with  Anyna Jansen a number of musical insults during her Yoga classes

Music and cultural events

Consider, for example, openings of exhibitions or in exhibition spaces. In addition to reciting poems.

Camping at nature campsites or campsites with special accommodations. As an evening activity by the campfire or with a small group in, for example, a tipi, yurt or other attractive accommodation available. At the end of a themed event at the campsite.

Fort Rammekens
An incredibly nice experience was an afternoon playing in Fort Rammenkens. The echo is wonderful and the reactions of the visitors were very positive. The guide told me that the room I was allowed to play in used to be a chapel. I certainly hope to come back again in the summer.
